Arnold's Country Kitchen
Arnold’s is our favorite meat-and-three in the known universe. Run don’t walk (or more realistically, drive a few miles over the speed limit)!
We recommend the green beans, macaroni and cheese, fried green tomatoes, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy – and if they have it, the peach pie!
Our favorite little coffee shop! Owned by our great friends Louisa and James. Carrie loves the Honey Bliss tea. Dan likes to read Texas Monthly and sit in the window.
Grimey's New & Preloved Music
Best local record store. Great place to check out what “the kids are into these days.” Cool music venue in the basement too. They also just opened a second shop next door with a little coffee nook and books – it’s an old fashioned “nook & book.”
Country Music Hall of Fame
Check out Carrie’s mom’s boots and her dad’s hat on the second floor! Right behind Gram Parsons’ beautiful Nudie suit! Also, Elvis’s car is there sitting on a giant lazy susan.
Rolf and Daughters
A good place for a nice farm-to-table dinner. It’s like a little bit of Brooklyn right there in Nashville. Reservations recommended.
Hattie B's Hot Chicken
Hot Chicken – a Nashville tradtion.
Owned and opporated by our friends, The Bishops, and named after their very cute baby.
The Stone Fox
A cool new venue and restaurant owned by some great people. In fact, we actually bought our car from the kind woman who runs this fine establishment. If you feel like getting out of bed the day after the wedding (and you’re not already getting the hell out of Dodge), every Sunday night is “An Evening of Country Pleasures” with Chris Scruggs.
Luggage got lost? (oh no!)
Dress not fitting right? (you look great!)
Soggy socks? (gross.)
This outdoor mall has an Anthropologie, Billy Reid, H. Audrey, and a Whole Foods. Also, Dan and Chelsea, Carrie’s sister, got kicked out of the Paper Source in this mall.
For when you need to brush up on your Civil War history.
A classy place when you need a classy drink served in a dark and cool room.
Carrie’s sister Hannah once embarrassed herself here by somehow accidentally ordering a Red Bull and Vodka.
Carrie’s favorite store since she was 3!
Do you need to buy someone a gift?
More realistically, a gift for yourself?
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Dan just recently figured out what that saying meant. It’s not totally applicable here, but it was worth trying.
